Community School Programs

YMCA Community School Programs (CSP) offer interest-based clubs over the lunch hour and after school in 16 elementary schools in London and St. Thomas. These programs are made possible through the support of the United Way, in partnership with the London District Catholic School Board and Thames Valley District School Board. 

Our literacy-based clubs promote positive life skills such as physical activity, healthy lifestyles, and self-esteem. We offer a wide range of exciting clubs that are based on students’ interests within each school such as Mini Chefs, Yoga Kids, and Video Drama. In addition to school year clubs, PD Day Programs and the Summer Fun Club are offered at selected schools.

Community School Programs offer a means for families to participate in interest based programs right in the school community. Financial assistance is available for participants who cannot afford the full cost of the program to ensure that children are able to participate regardless of financial barriers.

Program brochures are sent home seasonally through schools. Completed registrations can be returned to the school office where they will be collected by a YMCA Director. If your child is enrolled at one of the listed schools and you would like more information, please contact the assigned YMCA Community School Program Director.
