It was a snowy morning of celebration on January 8 as the Bierbaum family, friends, and the YMCA team gathered in the Bierbaum Family Community Kitchen. This newly dedicated space at the StarTech.com YMCA honours a remarkable journey that began in 1952 when Ewald Bierbaum arrived in Canada, from Germany, with just his tools and $20 to his name.
