Here at the Y, we’re very grateful to the family of Don and Mary Hislop, who donated a sizable gift to provide financial assistance for memberships, camps and programming at the Sarnia-Lambton YMCA Jerry McCaw Family Centre.Today, we’re pleased to share a little bit about this wonderful couple – former Y members who dedicated their lives to their family and community.

Our family is immensely thankful for the generous donations that help make day camp and exercise feasible for our family. My kids love camp and I appreciate being able to work whilst knowing my kids are receiving great care. Without a subsidy, I likely wouldn’t have been able to work outside of the home when my kids are on school break.
