YSWO Expands Access to CAS Families

Big news! YMCA of Southwestern Ontario (YSWO) is excited to share that we’ve expanded our reach to include all Children’s Aid Society (CAS) families throughout the region. With the addition of Family and Children Services of St. Thomas and Elgin, we're now providing access to YMCA programs for children and families in every corner of Southwestern Ontario. This partnership opens the door to important Health, Fitness, & Aquatics services for kinship and care provider families in areas like London-Middlesex, Huron-Perth, Oxford County, Chatham-Kent, Sarnia-Lambton, and now St. Thomas-Elgin.

This is more than just an expansion; it reflects the YMCA's commitment to building a sense of belonging and foster growth for people from all walks of life – allowing more members of our community to Shine! By teaming up with regional CAS organizations, we’re creating healthy, active, and supportive spaces for children and youth in need.

“We are incredibly proud to now serve CAS families across our entire service region,” said Andrew Lockie, CEO of YMCA of Southwestern Ontario. “This expanded access ensures that children and families, no matter where they are from in Southwestern Ontario, will find a welcoming, safe space at the YMCA where they can thrive physically, emotionally, and socially.

With this partnership, we’re not only making YMCA services available to more families, but we’re also reinforcing our commitment to creating stronger, more vibrant communities throughout Southwestern Ontario. Together, we’re making a real difference for kids and families and ensuring they can reach their full potential.
