April 2024 marks both the four-year anniversary of the start of our Y Works program and the conclusion of its current iteration. The program has touched 260 lives throughout its duration across its London and Windsor site, and our London Employment Services team gathered on April 10 in the Wortley YMCA Ballroom to mark the occasion alongside many of our participants, employment partners, and staff. It was the great honour and privilege of our Employment Services staff to be able to present tokens of appreciation and awards of merit to many of our most accomplished contributors to both the Y Opportunities and Y Works programs. The event was a successful one that provided us with the chance to both reflect on our successes as well as look toward our future!
While the Y Works program will soon be entering a temporary hiatus, the Y Opportunities program in London, Windsor, and Chatham-Sarnia are still well underway and we look forward to bringing both programs back in line with one another very soon. To those of you across the YMCA extended community who have participated, supported, or encouraged us in any way to achieve the fantastic level of success both of our programs have been able to attain: our sincerest thanks!
