Completing a language assessment is the first step to accessing language classes in your community. A language assessment is not a pass-fail test. It is a way to determine which class would benefit you the most. A student must have a language assessment prior to enrolling in a LINC or ESL class.
Assessments can also be booked for clients that would like to participate in the Mentorship program or enroll in Academic Upgrading courses though the Lambton Kent District School Board and require proof of language proficiency.
Assessments are done on site at the learning and career centre. An assessment can be booked by calling the 519-336-5950 ext. 234.
Assessments are based on the Canadian Language Benchmarks and are recognized by government funded LINC and ESL programs across Canada. www.language.ca
