Full Day Learning (3 months old to 4 years old)

YMCA’s Full Day Learning program is licensed child care for children ages 3 months to 4 years. Programming is guided by the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum – a play based curriculum that ensures children learn while having fun by connecting their interests to the events and activities of the day. Programming is delivered by YMCA Early Childhood Educators and classroom sizes abide by the Ministry of Education’s teacher-to-child ratios.

*Meals: include freshly prepared breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks.

YMCA Before and After School Program (Ages 3 to 12 years)

For many parents and guardians, their children’s school day is often shorter than their work day. YMCA Before and After School programs ensure your children are cared for when not in school. Whether you need early-morning programs or after-school supervision, YMCA Child Care ensures your child enjoys a safe, secure, and fun environment. The program is delivered by YMCA Early Childhood Educators and conveniently located at your child’s school.

Before hours: 6:30am to morning bell
After Hours: school dismissal to 6:00pm
*Snacks: Includes breakfast snack (Before Program | Before & After Program) and afternoon snack (After Program | Before & After program)

PELP (30 months to 5 years)

The YMCA Preschool Early Learning Program, better known as ‘PELP’, is a FREE program that helps prepare young children for the transition into kindergarten. PELP programs are only offered to families who have children that are 31 months to 4 years of age and are not yet eligible to enter junior kindergarten. It is a FREE program so spaces tend to fill up quickly.
Each PELP session is 2.5 hours of FREE licensed care either in the morning or afternoon and each child is entitled to up to 16 sessions per month.  The program is available ten months of the year from September to June. Parents who would require more than 2.5 hours per day can pay to top up their day with fee-based preschool care. For full-time preschool children, the PELP program can provide significant cost savings.
