Advanced Aquatics & Lifesaving Courses (Fall 2019)     

Bronze Medallion with Emergency First Aid B (Ages 13+)

The Lifesaving Society’s Bronze Medallion Award teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in the four components of water rescue education - judgement, knowledge, skill and fitness. Minimum of 6 candidates required to run course.

Fall Session: Tuesdays 6:00pm-9:00pm September 17th, 2019 to December 10th, 2019

Exam: TBA

Members: $120.00 (Canadian Lifesaving Manual $ 50.00)
Non-Members: $150.00 (Canadian Lifesaving Manual $ 50.00)

Bronze Cross (Ages 14+)
Bronze Cross is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training including an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities. Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for all advanced training programs including National Lifeguard and Instructor certification. 100% attendance is required. Minimum of 6 candidates required to run course.

Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid + CPR-C (ages 14+)
Standard First Aid provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid and CPR.
This course is for those who want an in-depth understanding of first aid, such as: medical / legal aspects, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, abdominal and chest injuries, burns and medical emergencies. Includes CPR-C certification.

Members: $80.00
Non-Members: $100.00

Fall Session:  Wednesday, December 18 & Thursday, December 19 8:00am-4:00pm
**must be present both days

Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid + CPR C Recertification

Members: $68.00
Non-Members: $85.00

National Lifeguard Service

National Lifeguard Service is a nationally recognized lifeguard certification program. National Lifeguard Service is a legal certificate for lifeguarding throughout the country, and the only lifeguard certificate recognized by the province of Ontario. Pre-Requisites: 16 years, Bronze Cross Certified, Standard First Aid & CPR-C (current within 2 years). 100% attendance is required.

Members: $228.00 Non-Members: $285.00


Fall Session: Thursdays, September 19th, 2019 to December 12th, 2019. No class on October 31st.

Tri Instructors (16+)

Swim Instructor Certification for Red Cross, YMCA and Lifesaving Society. Candidates will be certified to teach all levels of the Red Cross, YMCA swim program, the Lifesaving Society Bronze awards and Emergency First Aid. 100% attendance is required.

Sunday, September 15th. 1pm-5pm
November 15th, 16th, 17th & November 22nd, 23rd, 24th

Fridays 5:00-9:00pm
Saturdays & Sundays 9:00-6:00pm

Junior Lifeguard Club (Ages 8-15)
The Junior Lifeguard Club (JLC) offers serious fun for kids 8 years and up who can swim at least 25m and tread water for 2 minutes. The Jr. Lifeguard Club provides an action-packed challenge for kids who love the water but who want more than "lessons."       

Fall Session: Mondays 5pm-7pm, September 16th to December 2nd.
