Applications Open for Celebration of Youth Awards in Sarnia-Lambton.
One example of the Y's commitment to, and investment in young people is our annual Celebration of Youth Awards. This program honours local youth whose outstanding talents and achievements have made a difference in their community with a $1000 award. Applications for this year's Celebration of Youth Awards in Sarnia-Lambton are now open!
The awards focus on youth who have demonstrated leadership, sensitivity to others, innovation, skill development, overcoming personal challenges, and service to the community. Special consideration is given to individuals faced with financial barriers. Successful recipients embody the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Inclusiveness.
Sarnia-Lambton Celebration of Youth Awards 2021
This year features three award categories, with multiple awards available in each:
- Volunteerism, Advocacy & Community Service
- Health, Wellness & Perserverance
- Skills Development & Creative Expression
